While it has been logistically difficult for me to post the Messages of Divine Love via this wordpress site, I’m wanted to give an alternative to having a substack subscription so I can better archive these for future reference. However, I will always be posting these to substack first: https://sharpsweetbella.substack.com
Intro Notes to the Deck & Reading
The guilt of not adhering to a strict posting schedule can sometimes wear me thin. Last week I had just come back from an amazing weekend teaching at an event where I could lead discussions about transformative sexuality, using energy and sensation play as healing. But of course, holding that much space, socializing that much in one space, the reverberations rippled through my life like a silent shock wave forcing me to step back from everything to fully recover.
Even though most of you would assure me that taking care of myself is a priority, when I miss a post like I did last week, it’s hard not to feel like there is failure lurking in the corner, keeping track of my every mistake. It’s hard not to get caught up in old grooves of perfectionism demanding my undivided attention among twenty different projects and priorities.
When I’ve honored where my body this week, the regret is lessened by the reminder that I also get to live the messages in my everyday. I’ve listened to headaches, taking more time off than I had planned finding the new ways my body speaks when I’m pushing myself too hard. While I may have missed the deadlines I set in my mind, I accomplished a much bigger feat: I retained the healing and self-assuredness I fought so hard for.
These little blips are going to continue over the next few weeks. Bursts of magic amid the sinking sensation that “all this has happened before, and all this will happen again.” Despite appearances, we are making progress, and growing right where we are. Instead of waiting for the perfect opportunity, reaching out to create community wherever we are planted is the way to go.
Where We Are This Week

The Moon (R)
Third Eye Chakra
One of the hardest things about using one’s intuition for leadership is that it’s not always easy to keep what we see on the horizon from getting colored by the fears of a future yet unwritten. Systems that rely on our compliance replicate within us, setting up fears of “not good enough” played out on a collective level. Because people can’t imagine getting along with their enemy, they lack the imagination, curiosity or vision to see what else is there. They gravitate toward whatever is most explainable…like bypassing the promising signs of collective care and seeing only civil war in our future. When all you see on the horizon is doom & gloom, then that’s a pretty big sign that your lens is smudged and showing you only the fear of the unknown instead of the possibilities of the true self.
Messages from our Guides

Four of Swords
Root Chakra
Sometimes the best thing we can do when faced with the hard decisions of the world is rest on it. When the mind is too addled with choices, too laden with responsibility, it draws precious energy away. Sometimes the best thing we could do for ourselves is to choose to take a moment for ourselves, to know when we’ve hit a limit and we need a brief respite to re-center ourselves. It isn’t weakness, this is courage grounded in our most basic humanity.
Messages from Lady Gaia/Mother Earth

Two of Cups
Heart Chakra
Love the ones you’re with in this moment. The people who are showing up for you right now are the ones you are building a new earth with. Together our connections with these right now people will be a model for how we integrate into a new world. It will be the mutuality you build with these people who can nourish the highest ambitions of both. I help you build your temple of wisdom and you help me build mine while we drink deep of each other. These connections are tangible and real, deep and satisfying. Lean in to build that trust.
Messages from the Ancients

Two of Wands
Crown Chakra
A common question I’ve been getting lately is, “Okay, I know I have a calling, but now what…like, where do I even start?” The temptation (and indeed the pressure) to immediately launch into the next right thing is getting under our skin right now. This card is a sign that it is worth our time to develop a strategy. Just digging in could be a lot of wasted time and effort. This is a moment of doing your due diligence to ensure that your contributions are put to the best use for the bigger picture in a way that also serves your own goals. Take your time to get it right.
Messages from Our Future Selves

Queen of Cups
Sacral Chakra
The future will be made of compassionate action and the warmth of connection. Heart-centered leadership defies the confines of gender – it doesn’t matter how you identify, as leaders we are each stepping forward with more respect for, sensitivity to and understanding of our shared human vulnerability. So if you’re having questions of where you need to be in your life, lean into the experiences that bring out your compassion and heart, but especially those that honor shared experiences of emotional truth.
Messages from Mother Mary

Ace of Wands
Solar Plexus Chakra
The energy is right, ready for us to strike while the iron is hot. While the other cards tells us we need to have a strategy, it is the motivation that matters most. Because even with the best plans in place, our world is shifting so quickly that we’ll have to keep some extra motivation in our back pockets to get us through the difficult days. Hold tight to the creative spark, the drive that is pushing you toward this path. Imperfect though it may be, it is the purity of that motive that will make the difference.
Extra Card

Four of Pentacles (R)
Heart Chakra
We’ve been holding on a little too tight lately. When we expect everything to go wrong, we prepare for the worst, usually hunkering down in a flurry of activity, an attempt to assuage our anxiety. But this week, I want us to take a step back from that and see who and what we’re really protecting. Are we like Moira gathering her wigs and jewels before checking on her kids, or are we wrapping our arms around others and helping to comfort them in the storm? That’s the thing about growing in a garden together – we have to remember that it’s not just ourselves we’re looking out for anymore.
Undercurrents

Ten of Wands
Solar Plexus Chakra
Perseverance will be what wins the day. The only way out is through. And it’s going to be some deep birthing pains as we go through this process. But we’re tough, we’re more than meets the eye and we have more support than ever before. No one else can do our part of the work for us, but knowing that all of us are going through the thick of it with you, that we’re going to reach out and help in whatever ways we can…that is the world we are building and modeling right here, right now.
Final Advice

Seven of Swords
Throat Chakra
Right now the world seems hopeful but fractured, tenuous but still angsty. We’re on the precipice of change – we are on the precipice of success. We’ve been dealing blow after blow to patriarchy, which is why it is so intent on pulling the plug. The forces that have benefitted from all the perverse ways we offer our bodies and minds to serve profit will stop at nothing to keep that money, energy, and coercive effort going. It will become easier to see how the world is stealing our power, but that doesn’t mean it will be easier to resist. It is critical to hold tight to your values and not give up on the world, no matter how tempting it might be. Notice who benefits from sowing doubt – look beyond the immediate messengers to find the true sources of betrayal.

Parting words from a Geek Empress
It’s hard to imagine just a year ago that we’d be where we are now. At least, that’s the way it feels for me. My messages are finally taking root and people are starting to book my services with greater frequency than ever before. I’m doing more of the work that truly lifts my soul in a way that creatively feeds my mind. Despite all my plans, I had to be pushed into inhabiting this space by those who found me worthy, who reminded me to claim that for myself – to own my power, no matter how big or awkward it might be.
So much of my worldview was influenced by a collage of seemingly impossible experiences. I’ve served people who have been living on the streets for a decade or more while also dining with governors and senators who mentored me. I’ve cried at a performance of wobbly middle schoolers with the same pride that I had when I saw my brother on Broadway for the first time. I participated in President Clinton’s “National Initiative on Race” the same year I had to hold the president of my university accountable for terrible remarks he made about Mexican students. I sat outside the Colorado Court of Appeals with a coloring book when I was a kid only to become an attorney decades later. My life has been about finding the balance and connection between disparate ideas, people and practices.
The past year has proven to me that I survived hopeless traumas so I can be a bridge for humanity when it’s encountered its worst day. My whole goal in life has been to be a bringer of hope, the impossible rose growing in the darkened cracks of impossibility. The 1% chance that humanity is worthy of redemption is the truth I find over and over again. I didn’t think I could grow in such confining conditions, such destructive lessons, but still, impossibly I thrive so I can help you find the same strength for each other.
That’s one of the things I love the most about Schitt’s Creek, the inspiration for this week’s reading. The entire show is not just about growth of the individual, but of what happens when we are nurtured by community. Yeah, we don’t grow in the ways we expected, but the transformation is so much more memorable and satisfying. Take a look at where you’ve landed and consider what kind of adventure you’re going to find along the way.
“Can we grow together?” this week’s reading asks. No matter where we’ve been planted, where the seeds of our callings sprout, we can either make the most of the spaces we’ve found ourselves in or keep trying to conform to a world that tries to confine and dictate our growth. Can we give each other permission to grow as large and awkwardly as we need in order to re-wild ourselves back to a more authentically human version of ourselves? What will it take to find the redemption in our nature?
No matter how these Messages find you this week, know that I am always with you in love 💖
