Messages of Divine Love: Twinkle, Twinkle Where u at?

October 7, 2024 / El Tarot Deck

While it has been logistically difficult for me to post the Messages of Divine Love via this wordpress site, I’m wanted to give an alternative to having a substack subscription so I can better archive these for future reference. However, I will always be posting these to substack first: https://sharpsweetbella.substack.com

Intro Notes to the Deck & Reading

This past month I’ve given more readings than any other time in the history of my business. Relationship shifts, energy bursts, sudden arrangements to old plans finally taking shape. The eclipse highlighted those areas where people are showing up for us, giving us a twinkle of hope that things might not have to be this hard for much longer.

I gotta say, it didn’t feel like a reprieve so much as a thimble-sized taste of what we really want. A reminder of what we’re really fighting for, we still have some collective and individual shadow work to do. The election will be a test of how robust our values truly are, challenging the last of our systems and the most precious of our hopes. As things are falling, we will see glimmers of possibility – a ray of light that leads us to safety, an instinct for truth that grants us insight, a priority for connection that helps us empower each other.

Where “love and light warrior” types will advise you to close ranks and exclude anyone who doesn’t believe as you do, I urge you instead to reach for those whose differences complement yours. Find those who have enough in common to be safe, but who are different enough to be illuminating. Reach for those whose talents are expressed with integrity and joy. Not the feigned “I’m so happy!” false positivity, but the genuine fulfillment of someone who can take the good with the bad, who understands the repercussions of their actions, and who seeks to leave others better than they found them. This is who we are called to be in a woven fabric of collective care.

Keep your eyes on the glimmers, the sparkles, the refreshing moments of peace that are found in the space of a breath, the distance of a blink. See those as the signs they are and find trust for the role you’ve found for yourself right where you’re at. The smoke will clear eventually and you’ll find you were where you were supposed to be all along.

Where We Are This Week

Siete (7) of Cups (R)

Third Eye Chakra

The time has come to make a decision. It’s bad enough that we are collectively still in a position where the world defines what choices are offered to us, but we can’t stay on the fence forever. Even though there are some not-great options, there is at least enough of a difference to know what will and won’t serve you. Narrow yourself down to those that bring your greatest “f*ck yes!” to the surface, that tug on the soul of your highest self. Discard the rest. This is the only way to signal that we’ve stopped endorsing the mediocrity of what these dying systems keep offering us.

Messages from our Guides

La Star

Solar Plexus (and Throat) Chakra

Get used to hearing “Did you know you’re my hero?” And guess what? It feels good, doesn’t it? It feels good to have your resilience recognized for the sparkling glimmer of hope you so painstakingly kept alive. It’s especially hard when you know how easily the dark of despair could have taken you, did take you…even though you don’t want to admit it. This is a solar plexus sensation, but one that carries a healing message for the throat – when you share your story, you help keep someone else’s spark alive. Do not be afraid of your truth – reach out to those with your same vulnerabilities and show them what is on the other side of that darkness they’re just entering now. Lean on me as you need.

Messages from Lady Gaia/Mother Earth

Queen de Cups (R)

Sacral Chakra

No one is denying that you’ve been all up in your feelings lately for extremely valid and legitimate reasons, but it might be good to double-check and make sure you didn’t accidentally burn some bridges when you needed attention. For example, you were in the middle of the worst week of your life and you reached out to your bestie who was visiting family. You internally start building up resentment or fold your arms with “Fine! See if I ever rely on you again!” instead of maybe considering whether they are also going through the worst week of their lives…and just didn’t want to respond with the trauma dumping they were worried they’d bring to your door. Again, there is a whiff of the throat chakra in the healing energy that is needed here – but the first step is admitting that we are just as guilty of lashing out with guilt and shame as others are of being inattentive and inconsistent. It’s time to rebalance those connections and our feelings about them.

Messages from the Ancients

Tres (3) de Wands (R)

Crown Chakra

Yep, it feels like the plan is disrupted, but guess what…that’s exactly what healing is meant to do. And when all your plans and ambitions are built on the foundations of the wounding, we can’t even conceive of what we really could achieve from a place of healing. Sure, we had some dreams, but they felt far off and unachievable. Here, we now know that extraordinary things can happen with just a little recalibration. Give yourself time to truly conceive of a world without the same internal barriers you’re used to.

Messages from Our Future Selves

El Fool (R)

Root Chakra

Another direct quote “Borachos get stitches” – meaning don’t get so drunk on your own power and possibility that you fall for every opportunity that calls you pretty. As much as I normally advise us to “lean into the yes” right now, we’re having to watch for everyone else’s disorienting delirium to pass. If it sounds too good to be true, trust that instinct. If it seems like everything is about to take off, be the one to double-check that everything is in order. Everything is going to be a little wonky for a few weeks. Let things settle out before making any life-changing moves.

Messages from Mother Mary

Dies (10) of Swords

Heart Chakra

Sometimes it’s just easier to admit the truth. It’s over. The old dreams, the old doubts, the pain of the past, the worries of the future. We have to finally choose to let it go. But in so doing, the biggest warning this week is to not let this pain blind us to the false starts still happening all around us. Sit with the pain, but don’t let it have the driver’s seat. Mother Mary is assuring you that no matter how much it hurts, you are not alone – connect with others who are hurting too.

Extra Card

Cuatro (4) de Bitcoins (R)

Throat Chakra

With the devastation that we saw from Florida to the Carolinas last week and the now Category 5 storm that is headed for central Florida, I cannot stress enough how important it is to push back against any messaging that calls us overly cautious or paranoid in sounding the alarm bells about climate change. The very foundations of our earth are trying to shake us awake – and it’s sobering to think we might be the last that can do anything practicable to halt the damage. Likewise, it isn’t paranoid to be worried about the economic future of our world when costs are spiraling, profits are soaring and the Empty Husk billionaire uses his influence to help a dying patriarchy. This week, this month, this year we have to be as loud as we can.

Undercurrents

Nueve (9) de Cups (R)

Crown Chakra

While this certainly isn’t a representative sample, among the people who follow this newsletter, I have gotten so much feedback about how difficult everything has been for you lately. Affirming what I’ve been feeling for myself, we are dealing with the “original sin” type of wounding. Like a poison we’ve gotten used to taking, keeping us sick and afraid of ourselves, we are almost afraid of what it will mean if we stop feeling so bad. For me, it feels like I’m betraying the earth itself to admit that I am enough…like I’ve stripped away a core truth and revealed the fraud inside. But if I continue with this belief like I have, it will infect every single one of my choices and decisions. Especially this past year, I’ve come close to torpedoing some amazing opportunities because I thought it would be arrogant to believe myself worthy of them. But spirit stopped me…just barely. I’m saying this as someone who has had to fight tooth and nail for every scrap of self-worth I have: Stop poisoning your dreams with your fear of bignessNow more than ever we need that big, bold energy of yours. Your shade, your hue, your experience, your passion. You.

Final Advice

El Justice

Heart Chakra

The bells of justice are ringing in your heart. Not just to bring awareness to the injustices of the world, to right the wrongs, but to also right the wrongs in yourself. You’re going to find a store of what I love to call “objective love” or the love that justice needs to thrive. That love recognizes the inherent humanity of our enemies, the wrongdoers, the villains, but doesn’t let them escape the inhumanity of their actions, the ways they broke faith with the rest of us. So too are we having to hold ourselves in a space of accountability with a compassionate touch to our objectivity. We are no longer satisfied with “split the baby” types of solutions, but only those that preserve the dignity and autonomy of all, including ourselves.

Parting words from a Geek Empress

Oh, my loves, I can’t tell you how encouraging it has been to hear from you, even if it’s to tell me how terrible things have been lately. My heart is pouring out compassion for you, hoping my strength can help shore up your boundaries and my love can help soothe your soul. I can’t stress how much each of you needs each other…how much we all need each other right now.

That thimble of goodness is going to have to sustain us until we finally start getting a little more vulnerable with each other. That means trusting one another with the secrets of how we got to where we are. That means trusting each other with the impossible dreams that we are pursuing…because as super as we each are, none of us are going to be able to do it alone. When the sky is falling, we need something to link up with each other to create the safety net we need before the bottom falls out too. We need a team…and we need to make peace with ourselves long enough to draw that team together.

This week I feel like a lot of us have been saying goodbye to people, places and ideas that we really loved. Like in Inside Out where we, as an audience, have to say goodbye to BingBong. That bittersweet sadness of growing up, growing beyond our childhood dreams. We might not still want to go to the moon, but we need that kind of audacious dreaming to survive into our adulthood, to show our children that they have a future worth fighting for. And even though the six of cups don’t make an appearance this week, I thought it was worth reminding you that the key is in integrating the bold dreams with our past without drinking the poison that told us it wasn’t worth dreaming.

We are warned that if we keep dreaming with our smallness, all we’ll ever see is collective powerlessness. But instead, if we dream with a bigger heart, a more connected vision, we can achieve some remarkable things that can take root all around the world. But first, we need to know our truth well enough to know when we’re acting out of resentment and when we’re acting out of hope…and when hope is in such short supply, knowing that others need to be able to light their candle for us gives us all the more reason to clarify our intentions and offer our truth with compassionate justice.

No matter how these Messages find you this week, know that I am always with you in love 💖

Radiant Resilience in Action

As some of you may know I was recently elected to serve as the Vice Chair of the Denver Basic Income Project board. This week I’m asking for your help in spreading the news about basic income in Denver.

Not only have we been rigorously studied and have had some extraordinary outcomes, but we also have some questions that popped up in the data that deserve the time we anticipated for this longitudinal program design. In the time I’ve spent with our participants, I know how invested they are in seeing this solution implemented to more people in Denver and across our state.

However, Mayor Johnston’s office seems to disagree and did not include a continuation of the funding. Without the proper funding to continue studying the impact of guaranteed income on housing, health, benefit acquisition and more, I believe we are discarding not just a promising solution, but one of the most equitable ones we can collectively offer to each other right now. Unless and until we address the ongoing economic inequality that threatens our very survival, we are not going to be able to face the other existential crises we have, including the continued displacement of communities because of climate change. If you care about collective care, this is an opportunity to share the good news of our program and how its helped its participants.
